
The IMF says the Bank of Ghana injected nearly $13 billion into the foreign exchange market over one year to stabilize the cedi during Ghana's economic recovery. While the interventions helped restore confidence, the Fund says they should gradually give way to a more market-driven exchange rate supported by transparent and predictable central bank operations.
