The legal battle over one of the most famous luxury properties in Accra has reached a critical point. The Accra High Court has officially granted the police permission to assist a Receiver in taking over the Number One Oxford Street Hotel. This drastic legal action stems from a massive 14.9 million dollar judgment debt that Kensington Residential Partners owes to Cola Holdings Limited. Even though the luxury property is tied up as mortgaged collateral, prominent businessman Nana Kwame Bediako, widely known as Cheddar, insists that the loan is strictly a corporate obligation and not a personal liability.
