The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi is taking a big step into the future. The school just won a grant of over $45,000 to improve how they teach Artificial Intelligence (AI). This money comes from the Africa AI Upscale Programme, backed by Google.org and other big tech groups.

With this grant, KNUST gets to use the world-class Google DeepMind AI learning materials. This means students will learn the same cutting-edge tech skills as people all over the world. Professor Eric Appau Asante is leading the project at KNUST. He will make sure these new AI tools are used not just in computer classes, but in all sorts of subjects across the school.

This is great news for Ghana. As computers and AI become more important everywhere, Ghana needs smart young people who know how to use them. KNUST is joining other top schools in Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa to build a strong network of AI experts in Africa. The university leaders promised to give students all the space and help they need to make this program a huge success.
