
Prempeh College has won the first quarter-final contest of the 2026 National Science and Maths Quiz. They defeated Keta Senior High Technical School and Ghana National College in a tight race to book their ticket to the semi-finals.


Prempeh College has officially qualified for the semi-finals of the 2026 National Science and Maths Quiz. In the highly anticipated first contest of the quarter-final stage held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, the school secured a hard-fought victory at the Main Auditorium of the University of Cape Coast.
At the end of the contest, Prempeh College emerged victorious with a total of 44 points. Keta Senior High Technical School put up a strong fight but ultimately fell short, finishing in second place with 39 points.
Ghana National College ended the contest in third place with 30 points. The event also featured the Riddle Bonanza round, which was proudly sponsored by GOIL.
This quarter-final matchup was highly anticipated and previously dubbed a blockbuster encounter by followers of the competition.
All three schools arrived with strong momentum from the One-Eighth stage. During that previous round, Prempeh College defeated their opponents with an impressive 66 points. Keta SHTS also entered the quarter-finals confidently after securing 56 points, while Ghana National College advanced with 38 points.
With this latest win, Prempeh College continues its quest for the 2026 championship trophy.
The students will now prepare for the semi-final stage, which is scheduled for September 3, as the national competition moves closer to the grand finale.
