Stephen Kwabena Boateng, a highly respected businessman from Kumasi, has passed away. Most people knew him simply as Kwabena Kesse. He was 68 years old. Reports indicate that he died after being sick for a short time, though his family has not yet shared the exact medical cause of his passing.
He was born on September 12, 1957. Over the last thirty years, he worked hard to build a massive business empire in the Ashanti Region. As the head of the Kessben Group of Companies, he created jobs for thousands of people and changed how local businesses operate. He started with a vision and grew it into a network of companies that helped his community in many different ways.
Instead of just focusing on one type of business, he built many. In the media world, he launched Kessben FM, Kessben TV, and Aseda TV to keep people informed and entertained every day. He also cared deeply about education. To help students learn new skills and get good jobs, he opened Kessben University College, the Kessben Computer School, and the Kessben Driving School.
His hard work did not stop there. He wanted to help people travel and find nice places to stay, so he built the Fosua Hotel and Conference Centre and started Kessben Travel and Tours. He even helped people save money and move goods around the world by creating Multi Credit Savings and Loans and Kessben Shipping and Forwarding.
The news of his passing has left a deep sadness across the Ashanti Region. He was not just a wealthy business owner; he was someone who actively gave back to his community. He spent a lot of his time and money helping others in Kumasi. While he is gone, the schools, stations, and businesses he built will continue to help the people of Ghana for a very long time.
