The University of Ghana has officially confirmed the leaders for its 69th Students Representative Council. Following a smooth voting process, the campus Electoral Commission released the final results for the 2026 academic year. Records show that 14,770 students voted out of an eligible voting population of 59,709.

Abraham Kofi Amudzegbe and his running mate Evander Nana Agyenim Boateng secured a major victory. Running unopposed, they received 11,165 positive votes, making up 75.6 percent of the total ballots. About 2,982 students voted against them, and 623 voters abstained. Amudzegbe is a Level 300 Nursing student who has previously held several student leadership roles.

The race for the Secretary position featured three candidates and ended with a solid win for Lordy Afia Amankwah Mireku. She collected 8,763 votes, giving her 59.3 percent of the total count. Emmanuella Oforiwaa Ayisi came in second with 3,261 votes, while Belinda Naki Obeng finished third with 2,512 votes. There were 234 abstentions in this category.

For the Treasurer role, Kweku Danso Ephraim also ran unopposed and won by a massive margin. He earned 13,669 positive votes, which is an impressive 92.5 percent of the total turnout. Only 601 students voted against him, and 500 people decided to abstain.

The newly elected executives will soon take their oaths of office. They will then officially begin their duties to manage student affairs and improve campus life for the upcoming academic year.
